WinPcap – software to intercept the network packets before their obtaining by the network card. WinPcap has a set of network tools, including protocol analyzers, network monitors, network intrusion detection, traffic generators, network testing tools etc. The software performs a packet filtering at the level of kernel, contains an engine of network statistics and supports a remote packet capture. WinPcap contains drivers for reading of packets, that arrive at network card and low-level library to interact with network drivers.
